Workshop participants are divided into one of the three groups outlined above. The existing and new product teams develop and present formulary/rebate proposals for the payer to evaluate. Representatives from each team negotiates with the payer group. The financial implications from the manufacturer and payer’s perspective are assessed along with qualitative factors. The payer group develops and communicates their offer based on the negotiations with the teams. A panel determines which team got the most favorable outcome from the payer negotiations.
