Workshop A4 • Compliance for Venues and Meeting Management Suppliers

The life sciences industry is governed by a variety of statutes, regulations and guidelines that in effect limit what meeting organizers can and cannot do at meetings where healthcare professionals are present. While suppliers don’t need to know every detail, it is important to understand the rapidly evolving compliance challenges your clients face. This workshop reviews what you need to know in order to work with clients appropriately. Learn about regulatory oversight, global transparency initiatives, state reporting requirements and the federal Sunshine Act. Discuss what each mean to venues and meeting service providers in their efforts to ensure all services are aligned with the compliance challenges facing the life sciences industry.
