Center for Business Intelligence Announces the Addition of the FDA to 6th Forum on Predictive ADME/Tox
The Center for Business Intelligence (CBI: www.cbinet.com) will hold their 6th Forum on Predictive ADME/Tox on September 27-29, 2006 at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC. Prefacing the conference, is an exclusive pre-conference summit on Microdosing, Exploratory INDs and Emerging Paths to Predictive Data on September 27, 2006.
CBI is pleased to announce that David Jacobson-Kram, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., Associate Director of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Office of New Drugs, FDA will present on "Understanding Exploratory IND Guidance" at the conference in September.
The pre-conference summit also features National Institutes of Health (NIH) speakers Dr. Christopher Austin and Dr. Frank Gonzalez.
The main conference is co-chaired by Gerald Fisher, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Office of the President, Wyeth and Joanne Killinger, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., Senior Vice President, Drug Safety and Metabolism, Wyeth.
Both Dr. Fisher and Dr. Killinger contribute their insight to a content-filled two days with 13 industry experts exploring a wide range of proven strategies and new techniques for:
- In silico prediction of metabolic stability based on molecular structure
- Preformulation and formulation assessment of poorly water soluble drugs
- Developing an in vitro phospholipidosis assay amenable to automated high content analysis
- Examining a chip-based nanoelectrospray ionization source that identifies, characterizes and semi-quantifies metabolites
- High content micronucleus screening for early higher throughput genotoxcity profiling
- Utilizing transporter proteins to mediate cellular uptake and disposition when determining ADME properties
- Preparing "winning" IMPDs and INDs to initiate clinical trials without delays
Distinguished speakers from
Merck & Co., Wyeth, GlaxoSmithKline, Abbott Laboratories, Hoffman-La Roche, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson and
Novartis will provide industry perspectives and case studies at the conference.
Plus! Meet and network with the discoverer of drug oxidation polymorphisms Jeffrey Idle, Ph.D., Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Bern, Switzerland
