branded revenues will face generic competition from 2009 to 2014. Meanwhile,
development time and costs of production continue to rise, reaching between $800
million and $2 billion over eight or more years (Pharmaceutical Executive
Magazine, December 2009).
In the current environment,
companies are faced with reducing costs, increasing regulatory oversight,
heightened competition and the growing role payors are playing in the
planning/decision making process. In order to succeed, companies will need to
reevaluate their current commercialization strategies to understand the new
risks and how to take advantage of the new opportunities that are created.
CBI has continually been
recognized as the leader in providing commercialization events that offer best
practices, superior content and robust networking. This premier summit combines
some of our thought provoking forums to provide exclusive coverage of all
aspects of the commercialization process. Leaders within new product planning,
managed care, reimbursement, brand management, strategic pricing and marketing
have the opportunity to participate in case study driven workshops, keynote
presentations as well as breakout exchanges that afford the opportunity to
engage in discussion of the practical issues behind these programs. The
conference focuses on novel models for commercialization that respond to the new
economic landscape while accounting for the changing relationship between
patients, physicians and payors.
