Andrea Kocharyan is currently Vice President, Legal at uniQure, Inc., a clinical stage gene therapy company, where she provides strategic counsel and advice related to the company’s development and compliance efforts. Most recently, Andrea served as Vice President, Legal at Flagship Pioneering, where she supported the legal needs of Flagship’s ever growing portfolio of bioplatform companies. Andrea’s experience in the pharmaceutical industry spans nearly 25 years and includes Head of Legal roles at Zealand Pharma US, Inc., Sumitomo Danippon Pharma Oncology, and rEVO Biologics, Legal Counsel roles at Ironwood and Biogen, as well as scientific roles at Genzyme and Biogen.  Andrea’s passion is helping young companies build not only their legal and compliance infrastructure, but also a foundational compliance culture by engaging with stakeholders to form strong relationships and provide pragmatic, business focused advice.
